A form 6 student, Kho Ying Qi and a petrol station staff, Herman ak Sihas went missing in the monsoon drain in Rock Road at about 7.30 am.

Kho was going to her school at 6 am and her car broke down due to the flash flood. She called her mother who told her to wait at the Shell station.
Kho however told a girl at the Shell station said she will wait at the bus stop.
As the water was over 4 meters high, Kho failed to see the monsoon drain and fell into it. A cashier saw her and screamed to the passer by that someone had fell.

A fireman, Talib Alwi who was also at the Shell station to check on his wife who was stuck there rushed to her aid. He jumped from the other side of the monsoon drain hoping to grab Kho.

However, he managed to grab by her hand for a few second but she was swept by strong current.

On the other side of the road, a Shell staff, Herman jumped into the monsoon drain hoping to save her but he too went missing.

When Talib got out of the water, he was told that Herman had disappeared.

According to Herman's colleague, the missing had been working at Rock Road for a week. He was transferred from Kenayalang shell station.

Talib who later dived in to look for the missing but failed until noon said he was on night shift and told by his wife that there was heavy jam. He walked from his office to the station and the incident happened right in front of him.

Kho's mother was also at the scene but did not get out of her car. Kho has a younger sister and brother who was recently gone for National service.

The night rainfall had caused massive jam in the city causing flash flood all over the place.

State assemblyman for Sentosa, Chong Chieng Jen, PAdungan Wong King Wei and Pending, Violet yong were at the scene.

It is believed the missing could be swept to Sg. Maong river.

the firemen is still searching the place.
